Purpose: To save lives, prevent injuries and protect the health of the staff & patients of PRMA. The doctors and staff of PRMA are committed to ensuring your visits with us are pleasant and professional. Consequently, we understand the importance you place on the quality and the safety of services we provide. Our company has met the challenge of protecting both patient and employee while providing comprehensive, quality healthcare in the following ways: OSHA: PRMA complies with all aspects of stiff regulations from OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). Our company has a designated OSHA compliance officer at each office to ensure that we meet the existing regulations and to keep our office in compliance as new regulations are mandated by this agency. Vaccination and Infectious Disease Testing: Our doctors and all of our employees who may be exposed to patient blood have taken the appropriate vaccination to protect them from contracting Hepatitis B. Our internal corporate policy requires each doctor and employee to be up to date with all immunizations and tenus vaccinations. Protection of Employees and Patients: During your contact with doctors and staff at our office, you will notice that employees of PRMA wear lab coats, gloves, masks and goggles when anticipating contact with patient fluids. This system is referred to as barrier protection and you may hear us mention this term periodically. Additionally, our offices subject all surgical instruments to meticulous sterilization techniques including steam heat autoclaving of all headpieces and instruments. Our office uses disposable needles, blades and burrs to further minimize the risk of cross contamination. As added protection, office waste products are separated and disposed in specialized ways according to hazardous waste designation. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Training: All of our nurses are required to maintain certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Additionally, our office has an established emergency protocol system to ensure that, in the event a medical emergency occurs, we are able to respond quickly and accurately in the best interest of our patients.
