Dr. Steven Pisano

A native Texan raised in San Antonio, Dr. Steven Pisano attended John Marshall High School. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a member of the Plan II Honors program and received a Bachelors of Arts in Biochemistry. Dr. Pisano attended Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he received his M.D. in 1985.

Dr. Pisano completed a residency in the field of general surgery at the State University of New York in Buffalo. He completed his Plastic Surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He then spent one year as a Junior Faculty Associate-Microvascular Fellow at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. There he received extensive training in reconstruction of the extremities, trunk, head and neck areas, and especially in breast reconstruction.

Dr. Steven Pisano is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and currently belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, the Texas Medical Association, and locally, the Bexar County Medical Society.

Dr. Pisano has held several leadership positions in the plastic surgery community in San Antonio. He has been chief of the plastic surgeons section at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, and has served on numerous committees at the Methodist Hospital and the Bexar County Medical Society.

Dr. Pisano’s areas of professional interest include all areas of body reconstruction, especially head and neck, nasal, and breast reconstruction. In addition, he maintains a special interest in cosmetic plastic surgery at PRMA in San Antonio, specifically body contouring, rhinoplasty, and other facial aesthetic surgery.
